Results of Surveying Cardiologists and Clinical Pharmacologists on the Selection and the Efficacy and Safety Evaluation of Pharmacotherapy for Cardiovascular Diseases

The state policy for the safety of medicinal products involves analysis specialists' competence in identifying adverse drug reactions (ADRs) during use products. It is particular importance group essential medicines, including those used cardiology. aim study was to assess ADR-reporting skills doctors managing cardiology patients, with anti-arrhythmics as a case study. Materials and methods : from October 2019 June 2021, authors surveyed sample 223 practitioners that treated patients Moscow region (36 respondents took survey person, 187 participated on-line). questionnaire inquired about selection criteria products, their assessment terms efficacy real-life clinical practice, active involvement reporting identified ADRs. Results most participants were high-level professionals (60.99% had 10 more years experience). Most (90.13%) admitted having encountered ADRs placing substandard quality cardiovascular among causes. Moreover, 1.79% faced such problems on regular basis. Only 52.91% familiar current documents regulating pharmacovigilance. A total 61.88% applied information Russian foreign ADR databases practice. In 80.72% did not report data According respondents, main reasons low activity high workload lack evidence causality between product an ADR. Conclusion: demonstrated need intensify work identification, particularly, train them results, it feasible develop implement simple user-friendly risk-oriented systems systematisation reports.
